[Tradeban] Howard Government OK's barbaric slaughter in Australia

[Animals Australia Action Alert]

The Howard Government currently deems it acceptable to send millions of
Australian animals to the Middle East each year to be treated cruelly and to
endure the terror of having their throats cut whilst fully conscious.

Acting on an industry tip off, Animals Australia alerted Federal Agriculture
Minister McGauran to the alarming news that a Victorian abattoir is killing
sheep by this barbaric method to fill a contract for a Middle Eastern buyer.

This unconscionable cruelty continues at the blessing of the Australian
Government, which is considering dropping Australian slaughter standards to the
cruelty endured by animals in the Middle East!

WE CANNOT ALLOW THIS TO CONTINUE.
