Each year in NSW Pounds, around 60,000 healthy cats and dogs are killed. Why
is this happening and what must we do to prevent it?

Hello Sabina,

As you know, we have been busy canvassing the media for attention on the
pet-overpopulation issue.

As a result of our efforts and those of other groups, many of whom work at
the coal face of animal rescue, the Sunday program on Channel Nine ran a
story last Sunday on puppy farms entitled 'Death Row Pets'. 

It was a balanced investigation, one that was a perfect reference point for
the wider general public who may know little about the dark side of the pet
industry. We were delighted with the result and have already given a huge
thank you to all involved.
